Instructions
In a large pitcher combine, the citrus liquor, sugar, and wine and leave in the refrigerator until chilled.
To serve, layer the fruits into glasses and pour the wine mixture over top of the fruit.
Notes
If you would like your sangria to be a little less intense
try adding some club soda.
If you prefer your drink sweeter
why not add some ginger ale or any other soda you like?
You can make your sangria ahead
(without the wine) leave it in the fridge overnight to allow the flavors to infuse. Add wine at the point of serving.
If you are serving your sangria immediately
, make sure your wine is chilled and you serve it over lots of ice.
You can use any fruit you like
for your sangria, why not try a tropical version with mango, papaya, and passion fruit, the combinations are endless!
