Guacamole Toast is the perfect snack or appetizer! It’s easy to make with just a few ingredients and is always a hit!
This dish is perfect for a quick and easy meal. My guacamole is simple to make, or you can use store-bought if you’re short on time. You can choose to add a soft boiled egg on top or keep it simple with just the guacamole.
Whether you’re looking for a new breakfast idea or something different to pack for lunch, this toast recipe is sure to please. It’s the perfect blend of savory and delicious.
Ingredient Notes
Bread: This recipe can use any type of bread you like. I prefer a hearty whole grain bread, but feel free to use whatever you have on hand.
Guacamole: You can either make your own guacamole or use store-bought. If you’re using store-bought, I recommend using about a quarter a cup.
Egg: I usually make soft-boiled eggs or sunny side up because the runny yolk is really delicious with the guacamole, but hard-boiled eggs work well too.
Variations: Feel free to add additional toppings to your guacamole toast, such as cheese, tomatoes, or green onions.
Step By Step Instructions
Prepare your guacamole. I make homemade guacamole which is really easy to make, but you can use store-bought if you like.
Cook egg to your liking.
While the egg is cooking, toast your bread. It’s not necessary to butter it, but you can if you like.
Add a quarter cup of guacamole to your toasted bread.
Spread the guacamole over the toasted bread.
Top with the egg, and enjoy.

- Experiment with different types of bread– whole wheat, sourdough, etc.

Do you think I could use this recipe for an open faced tea sandwich, served cold?
Erren Hart says
Hi Deb, I’m sorry for the late reply. We’ve had a bereavement and things have been a little off schedule lately. Certainly! The guacamole toast with a soft-boiled egg on top can be a wonderful choice for an open-faced tea sandwich. The creamy guacamole pairs beautifully with the luscious, slightly runny yolk of a soft-boiled egg. To adapt it for a tea sandwich, spread a generous amount of guacamole on a slice of bread and carefully place a peeled and halved soft-boiled egg on top. You can sprinkle some salt, pepper, or any additional seasonings of your choice. Cut it into smaller, bite-sized pieces for a delicate and elegant presentation. Serve it chilled and enjoy the delightful combination of flavors and textures!
