This recipe for The Perfect Mimosa uses a combination of orange juices, but feel free to use any juice you want for this fabulous cocktail.
A Mimosa Cocktail Perfect for any Brunch or Special Occasion
It’s Mother’s Day in the UK on Sunday so on my last Mother’s Day in England, I give you Mimosas. What better drink is there for a special celebration? They are perfect for Champagne Brunches and wedding day festivities.
My recipe uses a combination of orange juice as well as blood-red orange juice for a little something special. I just love the flavor and the deep color it creates.
If you don’t want to go through the trouble of juicing fresh blood oranges, you can use regular orange juice with delicious results. Or for the same deep color, try using some reg grapefruit juice for a new take on this classic drink.
What Champagne for Mimosas
A classic Mimosa uses sparkling wine. If you prefer Champagne, a good quality Cava or Brut are good choices for making a delicious Mimosa but I recommend choosing what you like best. If you like Prosecco – use Prosecco!
How Many Mimosas will One Bottle of Sparkling Wine, Champagne, or Prosecco Make?
One bottle of sparkling wine, champagne, or prosecco and one 52 oz container of orange juice will make 12-16 mimosas, assuming each mimosa is served in a standard 6oz glass.
How to Make The Perfect Mimosa
When you’re making a mimosa, always add the sparkling wine first. Tipping the glass as you pour will keep more bubbles intact.
